There has been a long tradition of running a children's Good Friday workshop and 2012 proved to be another great success.
We started off the afternoon with the ubiquitous chocolate hunt which was, as always, a bit hit.
We followed this with a 'sad journey' as we followed a short children's Stations of the Cross and collected love hearts at each station.
The hearts were brought back to the centre and stuck on to a large white cross as the Easter Story was read to the wrapt children.
There then followed free time to engage in various arts and craft activities as well as the hugely popular making of the 'Garden of Gethsemane'.
The time flew by and it wasn't long before there was an opportunity to receive yet more chocolate.
The workshop was followed by tea and hot cross buns as well as crispy chocolate cornflake cakes! Not a day for a diet!
Thanks must go to all the Mums, Dads and carers who helped out and supplied various goodies. Special thanks also to Brian McGinnis for supplying all the flowers and components for the Garden of Gethsamene. The workshop would not be the same without it.
